FAQ

No, it doesn’t. Well, maybe some brands do. But we use the James Hardie Line. With the James Hardie line, your color choice is already there. You never have to pick up a paintbrush as long as the siding is on your house.

Fiber cement is one of the most resistant materials there is for your exterior.  It is insect-proof because it offers no food source to insects. It is fire-resistant, moisture-resistant, and is not prone to warping or cracking, thanks to the cellulose fibers which boost its dimensional stability.  And manufacturers of reputable brands, including our Cerber brand, offer a variety of pre-painted colors to choose from.

Although some of the earlier versions of fiber cement siding did indeed have some asbestos particles blended in, fiber cement was actually designed to replace the asbestos siding products to create a safer environment for the installers and the home’s residents. James Hardie discontinued manufacturing and distributing building materials containing asbestos in 1987.
